Cases and results

What changes when the chain is managed as one

Every operation starts with an assessment and leaves with scope, an agreed service level and indicators that ILC and the client follow together.

Agricultural machinery multinational

The whole chain integrated, from supplier to line, across six plants

Headquartered in the United States. ILC serves six plants, in Goiás, São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul, coordinating suppliers and carriers in the same management environment.

What ILC runs on this account

  • Milk run
  • Cross docking
  • Full truckload
  • Imports through port and airport
  • Integration of the entire chain, with supplier and carrier follow up
  • Warehousing

End to end operational visibility and control

When every event has to arrive on time

The situation

The operation depends on carriers, drivers, pickup points and end units. When the event arrives by phone and spreadsheet, visibility loses value and contractual risk goes up.

30 min

Contractual window to record each event after it happens

What ILC built

  • A tracking cockpit fed by Portal Integrator and Smart Tracking, from vehicle and driver assignment through to delivery
  • Evidence audited before it reaches the client: an unreadable photo is rejected and the driver is asked to send a new one
  • Geolocation with offline operation and background recording, on Android and iOS
  • Cockpit
  • Smart Tracking
  • Proof of delivery audit
  • System integration

Supplier promise and inbound coordination

From material planning to pickup, with a promise you can rely on

The situation

Planning says what has to be collected, but execution depends on each supplier confirming, on the packaging and on the right vehicle. With no structured promise, the team reacts when the impact is already close.

What ILC built

  • A delivery promise flow in Portal Integrator, linking material need, supplier promise and pickup order
  • Consolidation that weighs part, packaging, weight, volume and load restrictions to set the vehicle profile
  • Smart Tracking following from vehicle scheduling through to proof of delivery
  • Delivery promise
  • Order generation
  • Consolidation
  • Vehicle sizing

Express freight with bidding and smart consolidation

Deciding fast without giving up competition and traceability

The situation

Emergency freight demands a fast answer. Solving it by phone and e-mail costs time, history and the chance to understand why the emergency happened.

Target for the quote to be ready for approval

What ILC built

  • A bid distributed to the carriers approved by the client, comparing cost, pickup window, transit time and vehicle profile
  • Approval authority agreed with the client, with validation and order transmission documented
  • Express freight causes recorded, which becomes the basis to consolidate and reduce recurrence
  • Freight bidding
  • Approval rules
  • Tracking
  • Root cause analysis

Dynamic routing and load optimisation

Finding the opportunity a fixed rule lets through

The situation

A route can be contractually correct and still be inefficient. Partly loaded vehicles, rigid windows and badly placed cargo cut the room for consolidation.

What ILC built

  • Routing with a 3D load plan, weighing stacking, overlap and weight distribution across the axles
  • An opportunity layer that tests combinations outside the fixed rule, such as merging two partly loaded vehicles or turning a milk run into a full truckload
  • Negotiation coordinated with supplier, carrier and client before anything runs
  • Routing
  • 3D load plan
  • Sizing
  • Exception governance

Configurable journeys in Smart Tracking

Every operation has different controls. A chemical pickup calls for a checklist, PPE and an emergency kit before departure. Another supplier calls for photos of cleaning, loading and sealing. The app configures the journey per client, per unit and per supplier.

  • Events configurable by client, unit, supplier and type of operation
  • Checklists, documents, photos and validations before the journey moves on
  • Offline operation, with geolocation synced afterwards
  • New events created when the operation calls for it
